SPELEO

The Speleo is a sidemount system dedicated for cave divers and explorers at the end of the cave line. Whether in open water or in narrow spaces of wrecks and caves - the Speleo is your reliable partner with innovative details.
Three bladder sizes, two choices of valves positions, two harness options and two weight system settings mean 24 possible configurations. Every diver can find a perfect configuration for sidemount diving.
With the "out-of-the-box" system it's possible to dive with Speleo almost immediately after purchase.

Specific features
Speleo sidemount system was developed and tested by famous cave divers: Robert Uhlmann (sidemount instructor, sidemount-forum.com), Martyn John Farr (explorations in New Zealand) and Daniel Hutnan (explorations in Mexico).

shape-adapt-effect
Unique construction of the wing called Shape Adapt Effect means that the wing copies the body curves of each diver. The wing stays streamlined in maximum air filling because it is bendable even full of air, the sides of the wing doesn't pull out of the body and keeps the nice profile without interfering with the sidemount tanks. We don't need to use the strong bungee to keep the wing on its place. We offer you to feel the advantage of Shape Adapt Effect.

Inside / Outside
To fulfill the wish of every diver we have decided to offer both positions of the valve and inflator unit because the question "Is internal valve/inflator position better then external?" is always discussed. Internal position offer the best protection in narrow spaces and you have the maximum control of it. Nothing is damaged during a dive. For those who feel that the external position is better for manipulation and function we have this option available too. SPELEO is the only one sidemount system where you can choose the position of the valves. Inflator and valve unit is changeable and the valve cord can be guided down or to the side through a loop.

SPELEO Harness
Speleo is available with 2 types of harnesses in different webbing hardness. Both versions include the unique sliding d-rings on waist belt that work nicely under water if the change of sidemount tanks position is needed.
Standard DIR version has the hard webbing that is perfect for stability on shoulders and waist and for heavy load of steel or multiple bottles.
SCHOOL version with adjustable shoulder straps is great for quick adjustment for students of frequent dive suit changes. It is equiped with softer webbing for easy length adjustment and positioning of d-rings.

Weight System
Sophisticated SPELEO weight pocket can accomodate up to 16 kg of lead weight. The ballast is placed in 2 rows, the pocket is padded and secured with double velcro fastener. The front padding is very comfortable, the ballast doesn't press on the spine because it's practically placed on the left and right side of the backbone. If 16 kg is not enough for a dive, the Speleo can be equiped with additinal trim pockets that are fixed on the waist belt.
The Mexico version is ideal for pure cave exploration - without a central weight system but with two trim pockets.
